Exhaust System Weld broke

I have a set of Stainless Creation Exhaust system that broke at one of the Weld joints this weekend. This is the second time this happened to me with this set of pipes. THe other time a different joint broke. Last time they were still in business and repaired the pipes at no cost, but now there's gone. The pipe joint broke at the point where it attaches to the motor. It seems like it could be welded back on and would work fine at long as it's lined up correctly. My question is should I even brother, or should I find a new set of sets and get rid of these?

I wouldnt bother....throw them away...in a box...with my shipping address labeled on them.......
Seriously take them to someone that welds if you WANNA keep them,if you are fed up with them go pipe shopping......

I just got a call from FSD Exhaust and was thinking of getting something from them. But I seen a few bad post on them here.

Take them over to any exhaust shop and have them welded. Make sure you tell them it's stainless, and make sure they use stainless filler. When it's done just polish it all out. Are the pipes supported/attached to the frame down at the bottom somewhere? If so they shouldn't break. Pipes that "hang free" break up at the flanges all the time.

I've never see this happen before and twice to the same set of pipes. Yes they are supported by a bracket at the transmission. It was like the joint just gave away but the pipe was still hanging on by the rear engine mount and the bracket.

I was looking at the FSD exhaust but seeing some bad replies about them here and other forums. But the pipes look nice.

I threw mine away after they broke at the head. Figured it would be to hard to line up at the weld. Third time for me!!

I have SC pipes...I was told when you put the pipes on...get them tight at the head before you tighten down the bracket at the tranny mount. I had my pipes for over 2 years now and no problems.

I agree If you do decide to get rid of them I'm interested but you can probaly find someone in your area that that can fix them but find a good tig welder not just anybody can weld them up nice.

You're not that far away in Cherry Hill why ship them when you can just come get them.

I may have to repair them cause it seem hard to find some replacements in a timely matter. I don't want to blow the rest of the season waiting on some pipes:bang:

Update: Well I got my Stainless Creation Exhaust System fixed and it fits again like a glove. Don't know for sure if I'm going to keep it or sell it yet. Waiting for my FSD Exhaust System to show up tomorrow as per the tracking number.

Lol I didn't realize you were in NY, hell you coulda just brought them down to me and I'd have fixed them. If they break again just shoot down and I'll weld them up.

Thanks for the offer but the shop that repaired my car fixed it for that same price, FREE. And I tried to give him a tip and he wouldn't take it.

Just make sure you snug them up every couple hundred miles. Mine have been welded on a few different times. I usually check them every other tank of gas and there is always about a 1/4 turn on em.

I got them as promised on Friday and put them on right away. Didn't really get a chance to ride because I had to start putting things away for the IRENE. Now that it's over, hopefully I'll get some electric soon as I can get the stuff and the bike out of the garage.
