I just replaced my clutch cable and now I have a chirping noise from the rear of the bike under acceleration could it be the clutch rod not adjusted right or could it be the belt not tracking true again? The bike shifts great and clutch seems to be fine, how do I check the belt?

It could be your drive belt yes. Might be loose. Should have 3/16"-1/4" of free play with a 10 lb gauge.
Might also be your clutch pushrod. Have you removed it ever to put a light coat of grease onto it?
Is it coming from the rear for sure? If your not sure, then it could also be a loose top motor mount bolt. They tend to chirp when they loosen up.

yes I had the clutch rod last week when I replaced the clutch cable I put a good coat of grease on it before putting it back in the belt seems to be touching the outside edge of the rear sprocket but I checked the rear tire and its straight I guess I will try moving the belt over and get in line with front pulley and see if that helps

try rubbing some bee's wax on the edges of the belt to see if that will quiet it down.
:2thumbs:The best way to diagnois the belt. I also run mine a little looser than the manual says. I believe it cuts down on wear and it was recommended by the guy a SuperMax.

Yeah the manual says 3/16" I set them at 1/4" and they run nice, no problems. Anything more than that then you take a chance of braking the belt under hard louds.
