ultima engine

I have a ult
ima engine in my American Iron Horse and wanted an pinion on the motor.,if any one has had experance with them. I had a problem with mine and the mechanic said they are junk. Ant input would be appreciated.

There's probaly somebody here that know's something about them but most of us like me only use s&s that's the only way to go that's what I'm putting on my cfl chopper this winter. Not to run you off from this awesome forum but you might have better luck at club chopper there's some guys over there that run them.But come back when you get you a dog!

His point is most of us are running S&S motors on this site someone may be able to help. There are a few AIH riders on this site but I'm not sure what type engines they're running...

Well if Im not mistaken American Chopper used those motors along with others in their buiding of bikes. I don't have any experience with the Ultima. But anything can be good or bad depending on how well its taken care of. Im sure someone else on the forum will have a better answer for you.

They are very fast motors. The gasket seem to seep after a season. I've droped new ones out of crates into bikes. And have resealed others. They are crazy powerful. I like them. I would buy one unassembled and machine the case for Oring base gaskets. Other than that hold on!

Actually my favorite motor.
I've done a lot of testing for Ultima back when Ken Francis was the head of that division. Have one in my Road King. I won't disclose the power #s,cause we play a lot.

I decided awhile ago if my motor goes im gonna replace it with an Ultima. It seems like you get alot of motor for the money.
