Fork squeak

My 2003 Big Dog Chopper has developed a squeak in the front forks that sounds like metal-on-metal. It has very low miles (1,100) and I'm wondering if fork seals may have dried out causing this problem. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks.

Welcome to the Dog Pound, a little introduction could go a long way.

How long have you had the dog, did you buy new or used, does it appear to have had an oil like ?????. I would take the cap off and add a couple of ounces of fork oil to see if it goes away or if it leaks. That way you will know if that is your problem. If it leaks or stops squeaking I would I would replace the seals and bushings to be on the safe side.

Also Check your front wheel and neck bearings just to make sure the squeak is not coming from there.

a little intro with infomation would help

If its metal on metal too late. put your dog on a center lift pull the top caps off the center and check under them. If the chrome is rubbed :bang:
