Here are some of the things that I have done troubleshooting the bike.

The wireplus installation has been completed. I got fire going to the starter now to were before it would only click (even with having 12.8 volts at the battery).

Head light works now.. high and low beams. Not working before.

Tripple check all the connections before and after the install... The Wire plus system should be ok. I memorized the instructions so there was no question.

After the WP install, the Thunderheart was not turning on... Tested all wires going to it and out (gets fire going in).. nothing coming out! ... This is why I order the thunderheart 5012. Installed the module and it lights up when you push the run button (toggles the WP power module, this is another sign the WP is ok)

When Jake says wire for wire... I found an extra wire coming from the crank sensor... (black, red and a green) This ASM module only has the gray and black... Everything else is self explanatory. But still no spark.. I will have to add a new sensor.. question is which one?

Thanks in advance guys... I know the is somebody out there that has come across the same problem and is willing to share the knowledge......

I bought the ASM 5012 system in hope that my bike would start.. I got the system today and tried it... still no spark. As I read through all the postings, i may have bought it for the wrong bike... I have the 2004 Chopper DT...
The ASM5012 uses a crank sensor... which you don't have. The '04 used a cam sensor. You'll need to find the proper igntion module.

You're sure that's the problem?

Does my 08 Mutt 117 S&S have a crank or cam sensor? Can I use the ASM5012 as an upgrade plug and play?

Crank sensor and the ASM 5012 is right for your bike you will have to just splice the plugs off of youe old igntion on to your new ignition.
