Sorry folks, it's me again. Finally found out why my scoot was dying. Washed and polished the scoot for a poker run on sat. After I was done cleaning(Friday) I drove it around the block. Woke up sat morning and it fired right up but was running rough. Never runs rough. It either runs or doesn't. Let it warm up and drove about 1 block and it died. During this block it was still running rough. Turned key off, hit run then start. Scoot would crank over very strong but wouldnt start. Did this several times and still wouldn't start. Pulled the seat off and watched the ehc and thunderheart ignition lights. Turned key on, hit run and the red light on the ehc comes on. Good so far. Hit the start button and the no red light flashing on the thunderheart ignition box. Bad thing. Waited a few minutes and finally scoot fired up(red light on ignition) came on at that point. Rode 135 miles without any problems that day. Scoot never even tried to die. This has been a problem since ive owned the bike, several months. I've posted this same problem b4 without knowing about the ignition light not coming on. Battery, vr, stator, connections near the ehc, ignition module and other things have been checked. Took the vent out of the gas cap too. Usually when the scoot dies (always when riding) it will fire up on it's own after I coast in gear. Sometimes it fires up immediately and other times i have to stop and cycle the key and wait a few minutes. Used dielectric grease on all connections. The have wiggled the key with scoot running and it doesnt kill the engine until it is suppost to.
Thought maybe water or humity but this has happened without bike being around water for weeks.
1. What all is in line up to the ignition module that I need to check?
2. What exactly does that red light mean when it flashes?
3. What am I missing?
Don't want to get stranded cause of something stupid. Thanks again for the help guys. As always u guys rock and I appreciate the help that y'all have giving me so far. Btw no matter what y'all say, good or bad, I ain't going anywhere. Lol.
