Getting a new tire put on "beware"!!

Hey Guys and Gals,

I know lots of people are getting new tires on their scooters for spring. I have had two people I know get tires installed , two different shops and within a few days the tire both rear, left them stranded because they went flat. One was the valve core wasn't tight and leaked just enough to let it go flat two days later. Hewas several hundred miles from home. The other one the tube was pinched just enough to let it seep out. Could have been much worse though. Make sure who ever puts your tires on knows what they are doing, not just some kid, my quess .

Yeah I remember on the farm vehicles we used the cow water tank and dunked out tires to check for leaks. A few years back saw one at my local Harley Guys shop. Its still a good idea to check for small leaks even 30 years later

shouldn't have or need tube, and valve stem is easy to fix. but like most people on here will tell you the best work will be the work you do yourself, shop manual and help from this site you can do your own work including tires and save a lot of money and let problem.

Yeah the best thing to do is learn to do it for yourself or find a tire shop that does quality work but even the best mess up and miss things and if you've ever messed with a tube type tire like I have others will agree there a pain sometimes.
