Motorcycle Accident

Ray,
I completely understand the, 'not being able to see him' thing. My brother fell of a roof on Monday and we had to take hom to the local trauma unit. He fractured his hip in two place, broke his collarbone and fucked up his ribs. I stayed with him until they moved him into ICU (about 5 hours) and was not able to go back to see him after that, until I picked him up yesterday. It's just not an easy thing to see anyone, let alone a brother, in pain and not be able to do anything to help him. Gives me chills just thinking about it now. God Bless to both of you. You are in my prayers.

Jerry just came out of surgery to pin his collar bone up. Because he uses crutches when he doesn't have his leg on they thought it best to pin/plate it. His lung isnt improving yet so will be here for awhile longer.

Glad you are feeling better Ray and glad Jerry is on the mend as well. Give it a few weeks lots more improvement for Jerry and yourself. Never been through the lung issues so I not familiar with that end of it. Bruised, broken bones, crushed skull, cuts, and surgerys been there before and it just takes time to heal up. The stuff I went through gave me a different outlook on life for sure, especially as I am getting older, ( not that I am getting older either). Jerry, Kelli and Yourself are in my prayers everyday, count on it.

Oh, Ray I actually looked at my mileage today and my scooter will possibly never have the miles on it Miss Miles does. My 2004 doesn't have 5,000 on it yet , 30 or 40 miles at a time.

Jerry is doing a lot better today. He hasn't been able to leave cause his lung drain tube was at 400ml but today it looks like he's improved and drainage is under 100ml so waiting on doctor to see if they are removing tube. If they remove it he can can possibly go home the next day.

Still getting lots of well wishes and thank for all them.

Glad to hear his lungs are doing better. Scary stuff. Did the doctors give Jerry any cream for his road rash. My buddy was hit by a commuter bus on his scoot last year and had similar road rash. I can try to find out the name from him if you like. Thoughts and prayers Ray.

Getting other emails and posts and will say again that everything is good here. Jerry is a Union worker so no problem with medical costs. And both of us had full coverage insurance.
He is in Desert Regional Medical Center in rm. 3511 in Palm Springs, CA

Hey, just a thought.
I never ever go out on the scooter long ride, short ride , whatever without making sure I tell my wife I love her. If she is at home I tell her , if not I call her where ever she may be away from home. Never leave home without telling your love ones you love them either.
