Something to keep in mind, BDM covered bikes that were well out of warranty when the economy was strong. With a fresh slate for this BD Performance Parts biz, there is the chance that they will still take care of the customers.

I hope the first sale item is the way overpriced unprooven NEW edition speedometer they came out with......
My issue is BDM just went outta buisness 3 weeks ago,yet some of you have had many parts backordered for months upon months,and just because he is opening a new company with the same parts..all of a sudden they become available???? Well please tell me where they came from and just where were these parts prior to the closing of the company?????

They are getting them from thier supplier. I have been waiting on a oil cooler, stash tube, clutch cable and belt for 2 months. I just got a email from chris at BDM and he said they have recieved them and will ship as soon as they get set up.

thats sad that it took you 2 months to get a cable and a belt.......

I haven't had anything covered out of warranty and I contacted Big Dog directly. My 07 K-9 had 7500 miles on it but was past three year mark. The clutch basket was shot. The splines on it were rounded out. Big Dog = No. Baker Warranty = Contact Big Dog. We recommend you purchase our "upgraded" clutch basket. Speedo needle bouncing and fogging. Big Dog = No. On the other hand when my clutch cable snapped at the ferrule Barnett was the first to repair the cable and send it back free of charge!! I wouldn't hesitate to buy aftermarket.

When the economy was good, Big Dog went out of their way to take care of me.:2thumbs:

I started having electrical problems on my 04 Chopper shortly after purchasing. The dealer couldn't fix it after several attempts, so BDM Factory truck (18 wheeler) met me close to my house and picked up my bike, fixed the problem, then returned the bike to my local dealer. They would have brought the bike back to my house,:2thumbs: but I was out of town. Talk about "GREAT"customer service.

I had to buy a used EHC because BDM went under while waiting for their "Wire-Plus-like upgraded EHC"... now they're gonna finish this new part and they won't offer anything as a warranty part? Shitty... and even if they did... I'd be outside of the warranty timeframe and would be SOL then too.
