You would think an old leatherneck would be smarter than putting that kind of money in a run of the mill shovel.

Having never rode a BDM product for any length of time, you are not even remotely qualified to say what a big dog is and what it is not, you are however highly overqualified at being jealous of all Big Dog Motorcycles, to which that is obvious to all.

A shovel hd, that is the harley that looks like the other 900,000 harleys out there. Lot of ppl have one, in the back corner of the garage under a tarp.

But to each their own and if you are happy with your scoot, so be it.

My Harley gets very little loving since the Big Dog became the pack leader.

.
Wow!

You have an air of self-importance that is absolutely astounding.:loony:

Jealous of Big Dogs? Not even close. They don't impress me at all.

Leader of the pack?

I'll just stick with my old POS Shovelhead.

I'll bet that you couldn't keep a Shovel running. Most of the guys that bad-talk them can't.

So let me understand this, you joined the Big Dog forum to let everyone know how cool your shovel head is? That's kinda funny, after you think about that for a moment im sure you could see how someone might reach the conclusion that you might be jelous of the Big Dogs. Im not picking on Harleys think they are great but the truth is nobody notices the Harleys that I ride with so is there a Big Dog in your pack making you feel like the little dog?:roll:

I joined because I was thinking about getting a Dog and I wanted to know more about them, but the more I learned about them, the more I though about building my own.

It would cost me 1/4 the price, and I would have the satisfaction of doing it myself.

I've ridden a shovel for the last 10 years. I am now saving for a Ridgeback.

These bikes are like religion, you just dont change peoples religion very easily, and you don't criticize it either.

Go back to ShovelheadUSA forum please.

Based on your join date of last month, its easy to see why you don't 'respect your elders' here. But for someone who says they joined to 'learn' more about Big Dogs, you seem to do a lot of talking (typing), instead of listening (reading threads).

There is a hell of a lot of info out here, and I doubt that you have managed to cover all of it in only the last month.

Some of us have been here a long time, don't necessarily have to post every time we are here. Just sayin...

So at one point you where impressed with Big Dogs, and I don't think you could buy a 117 S&S and a baker 6 speed new for 1/4 the price.:job:

Mr. Psycho...I am probably one of the least confrontational people on this board and am always polite and courteous to everyone...but after reading your past two posts and how you would have the satisfaction of "doing it yourself"...by all means please go "Do yourself".

Once again, a negative thread doesnt always deserve Attention!

This thread started out Bashing the Dealerships, which in my oppinion drove BDM into the ground...Just like the Housing Markets and Banks, just because you can get 40K, doesnt mean you have to set the bar that high...Economists will agree, it's only a matter of time, you "Exhaust" all potential buyers and if something like a Down turn in the Economy will cause a "Crash" in the System....

BIG DOGS ARE BAD ASS BIKES, BUT ARE THEY WORTH TOP DOLLAR AT THIS POINT?:argue:

Moto-Psycho, "Tread Lightly", the A-Holes on this site will get you banned...trust me, I'm on probation....:spank:

motor-psycho, why don't you go find some guys with Big Dogs locally and try having this conversation on BDM's in person, instead of hiding behind your keyboard

Are you looking to buy or whinning again....

There's alot of good information on this site and an equally amount of proud BDM owners. I really don't know why you find it an obsession to piss on BDM and I personally find it disrespecfull to the forum members.

I would not be offended if you took your piss poor attitude and went to another forum.

Please let us know how your $5000 custom turns out.

BTW, you said you have a POS Shovelhead, I did not, nor have I ever said shovels are a pos. I find it unusual that you would say that about your own beloved ride.

I have had to work on my harley far more than my Big Dog.

C'mon up, I will buy you a drink or two, then we ride North West style, in the rain. We will see who rides this way the longest. Leave your rain gear in the locker, we will do this military style with a mission to accomplish. Yeah, I will wait for ya. Do we need to pack tools or will your scoot be mission ready?

its hard to broaden the minds of narrow minded people.
