Let us know how the install goes for ya. I have seen a few posts about it and it certainly look like a lot of work but everyone seems to be pleased with the results.

You will be glad you did. It is a lot easier than it looks, just a little time and patience, one step at a time. I guarantee you will feel better about going for long hauls with out the ECH. The best upgrade I have done to my scooter since I have had it. Get your pins crimped tight, in the right place, and make sure they all engage good when you actually snap them together. Even this ole guy had to ask Jake a few questions, but He was very very good in getting me through the little issues I ran across while trying to do it in the state my wife calls "Sleep Deprived".
Good decision going with the Wire plus from Jake, you will not regret it.

Good call, just time consuming(about 12 hours) if you are a perfectionist and haven't done it before. If you remove the metal band and clean all the silicone off the wires going into the computer terminals, it makes it a lot easier to see which wire is going into which hole. A photo of the numbers on the terminals can be blown up on the computer and then you don't have to strain to see them. Good luck, be patient, and all will go well.

Not really as bad as it looks, just make sure you give yourself a full day so you dont rush. I used both the instructions that were once on here with great pictures and also the instructions sent in the box. Together it was great. Toughest thing is hiding all the wires and making it look good

I got my bike all setup this spring with new braille battery, fluids and detail. Rode it a few times and then one day went to start it and got four ways. Checked EHC lights and my low beam was out. Opened up the headlight bucket and pulled the bulb out. Tested it and it was good. Put it back in and it works. Now every time I am doing 70 mph in the center lane of the interstate I think about if my low beam goes out and the bike dies I am a dead man. First project for next winter.

after getting mine done a few weeks ago at Gas Man's....its a great feeling not having to worry about the "what ifs":2thumbs: and Jake is always there if ya have any questions too! lets us know how ya make out!

Go ahead get it, and plan a day, maybe funky weather to install it, after the switch is installed it is just step by step through Jake's instructions.
I was doing 80ish going north towards Kentucky in the right hand lane, with with about 12" on shoulder to get off the road when mine just quit working, three lanes of moderately heavy traffic, traffic was grazing me. I couldn't get off the road any more than I was already, when a guy saw what I in need of doing stopped his truck in the middle of the interstate and I rolled it to the other side where there was lots of shoulder to get away from the traffic. Possibly one of those angels that watch over me, or my Lord Jesus saw the mess I was in and He sent help in the form of any Army Ranger. Oh the guy that blocked the road was a motorcycle rider in a pick up truck. The Retired Army Ranger had a trailer with him!!! The Bible says there are angels amoung us, you be the judge. :up: He hauled me and my scooter about 50 miles and didn't want me to even pay him for gas.. You be the Judge.

Glad it worked out.
All aircraft connections are always crimped not soldered. Soldered crimp connectors are more supceptable to vibration in an aircraft frame.
