Shifter rod

Can anyone tell me the length of the shifter rod (K-9-2006)? I'm considering dressing up items around the new tribal forward controls and tribal pegs.




Nelson or Jake-do either of you stock anything similar to the above pics?

SIICK!!!
I just spoke with Vickie on this last week......you will have to go and measure eye to eye(rod ends) on your shifter linkage.....cause they are not always the same length. I am going to be going with the Wicked Image one..Tribal Flames with the skulls in it:whoop:

Yeah I got the tribal flame one for mine...


Matches my ebay mirrors perfectly

Oh and to measure it... do it to your bike. Measure with a tape measure from the center of the heim eye to the center of the heim eye. That is the length from center to center and the measurement you need when ordering.

With mine the one I got is 3/4" short from my stock one. Of coarse that is with the heims screwed all the way in. They always measure the replacement with the heims in. So with me 3/4" divided by 2.. means I need to spin my hiems out 3/8" for install. some BDM ones are already screwed out and some are all the way in. For me, it was a $100 savings to get this one they had versus a custom cut one.

Thanks bro.....once again.....I give Gas Man the credit....:up: ..because I have talked to him before about his Wicked Image shifter linkage....then I called Vickie....:whoop: thats what everyone is here for.....to help everyone spend money! :cheers:

Gas..thanks for the tip. I will remeasure-I measured the stock rod!

Yeah and with the threaded in heims its not rocket science or super exact. You have adjustments built in the design. Call Vickie, she can get you a decent price and see if they have something in stock for your length. of coarse, I'm sure the k9's are a bit on the longer side.

Yeah and the difference in length was taken up by spinning the heims out on the threads....The closer you can get to the "eye to eye" length the better. Better being... less threads shown...
