My Mirrors suck!!!

Hi all. I just wanted to say that for some reason, I cannot find decent mirrors that I can keep from rattling off my bike. I have an 07 Mastiff and I first had to replace my mirrors when I was gettin on the highway and my left mirror disappeared, then I went and bought some new mirrors at a local bike shop. They didn't have any way of tightening the mirror itself, so I ordered some Arlen Ness mirrors. When I took my bike out, I got on the throttle and watched my mirrors spin!! I tried to tighten the backing again, and my left mirror tightening nut stripped!! I must say I am not the best mechanic, but I know enough, and maybe somebody can give me a suggestion on good mirrors

Thanks

I've got a set of BD stock mirrors from the 03 Chopper. They are truck mirrors, didn't loosen, didn't vibrate....and didn't look cool....what do you want, good taste or good ??? Everyone says use red locktite. I have seen solid non-adjusting mirrors. Their are just way too small.

I have to say that I never had a problem with my stock mirrors, not the best looking, but they work.

I HAVE A SET OF CUSTOM MIRRORS FROM A COMPANY IN NY CALLED ECKCRAFT. THEY LOOK GREAT AND ARE ALSO VERY FUNCTIONAL, BUT SPECIFY THAT YOU HAVE A BIG DOG AS THE PIVOT FOR THIS BIKE IS STURDIER. YOU CAN GO TO THEIR WEBSITE @ ECKCRAFT.COM OR CALL THEM @ 1-866-325-2723.
YOU CAN ALSO USE ARLEN NESS MIRRORS BUT EITHER WAY YOU'RE GOING TO NEED THE BDM AFTER MARKET ADAPTERS.

I had the same problem with aftermarket mirrors. I tried a couple different sets... no luck. I put my stock ones back on (with locktite), been good to go since. I dont think they look bad at all. They perform well too.

Ive yet to have anybody look at my bike & say.... wow, looks awesome except those mirrors :)

Thanks for the advice and different websites to look at. I used blue loc tite, maybe I should switch to red. I will say that yesterday I put a wrag on the backing nut and used a pair of channel locks to tighten it up and seems to be a little more solid. Thanks again to BDM community, you guys are the best

I feel your pain......it really sucks in a Toys 4 Tots parade when you can't pull over to catch the parts.
