Tank conversion EFI to carb?

Has anyone done this? I know Neil (Nomad2day) had considered it when having tank/pump troubles.

Also I have not seen the size and location of the pump hole in the tank (K-9) to see if a petcock could be adapted (without welding).

Reason for my question is that I am considering buying a painted tank (whole tin set) but it came off an EFI bike and I would not want to weld and repaint.

I've done it on Yamaha's Ken. Pull the pump, and make sure the tank is vented either by venting the cap or the tank itself. With a pump there may be some sore of one way valve on the vent line that would need to be removed. If the petcock doesn't fit I can turn you an adapter so don't sweat that.

The pump and plate is parallel to the tunnel about half way back from the front of the tank. You may want to look at one and see if it's doable. If Moe says yea he's an excellent fabricator.

Were you referring to the set that was on ebay and sold for $800?
Did you buy it?
