Anyone here have experience shipping a bike? The name Federal comes up as a good company for on-time and reliable. Friends of my in California go on cross country or Sturgis rides every year, and ship back home, but I haven't had a chance to ask, who, how, or how much. If you got suggestions or recommendations I would like to hear them.

Hey Coach, I have used a company I got on uship.com. I used" MACH 1 EXPEDITEDTRANSPORT". They were alot cheaper then federal and they are bikers. They were fantastic !! ahead of schedule and they actualy were very knowlageable about big dogs. The next time I have to ship this is the only company I will ever use. They really cared about the job they did.

TimNY called me the other day and tried to set me up with a 2 up seat from Coach. I called Coach and he had mentioned he had sold the seat and was still trying to sell his BDM chopper. I mentioned that I had a good friend that might make the purchase. I had some great talks with Coach and he and my buddy Johnny will be seal the deal this week. Bike will be going to Bullhead, Arizona. He is so excited and can't wait. I am also trying to get Johnny on this site to become a member. Ryan

Didn't want to jinx the deal by responding too soon. Yes... bike found a new home in Bullhead City AZ. Thanks go out to Ryan & Tim for setting-up this sale. Johnny sound like a great guy and it makes me smile to know my efforts of maintenance will be appreciated and I'm guessing you be seeing him on the site.

Coach,
any update on who/where your bikes new home will be?

Scratch MACH 1 EXPEDITEDTRANSPORT as reliable. They turned out to be a huge disappointment. They were quick to take the order and collect the money, then would not commit, return phone calls or email messages. :spank:

Our buyer contacted KeyBoard and so far they seem to be game-on as far as getting the job done right. We'll follow up with results. I have my fingers crossed..... I really want this to go smooth.

Some guys don't like them but I used haulbikes to ship mine from Oregon to Vermont. They said 2 weeks, it took 3 but they were easy to deal with and the driver was nice and helpful. It cost $550 with full coverage replacement cost.

No HAULBIKES!!!!!!!

It took almost 2 months to get my Bike from AZ to NJ. They dont return phone calls or e-mail. The only thing I can say good is that they where cheap and the bike made it safely.

Are they unable to ride to and from? I recently rode my 09 Mastiff from Houston to Tulsa in 8 hours (which includes gas stops and a quick lunch). I could have ridden back to Houston that same day. I don't understand shy people don't ride the bike. Why get one?

Pay my airfare, meals and gas and get me back home and I will do your delivery.

I was thinking more about the shipping a bike back from Sturgis. I understand about buying stuff being tough to get free time.

Question: Our buyer placed an order with the first MC shipping company using PayPal. After numerous unanswered e-mails, phone calls, they lost confidence in them and canceled. Arranged to ship using Keyboard. My understanding of PayPal is if you don't deliver you don't get paid....right?

My advice was written notice to shipper and paypal, and in addition contact credit card company.

Any advice or experience?

In the end I'm sure it will work out......but damn.....as ya'll know me the last thing I wanted was for the buyer to have to deal with these butt-heads. :bang:

Cadi,

Looks like you we got another guy to ride with at the River Run. If the bike shows up on time.

Coach,
Sorry to see the bike go. But as you said, I'm sure Johnny will enjoy her.

Yeah Chopperman. My buddy has riden my chopper on numerous occassions and loved it. When Tim set me up with Coach for a possible seat, I ended up with the intro and he can't wait to get Coach's bike. Things should all work out in the end.
