Thread size

My sissy bar was delivered today, looks like the the threads need tapped out (old loctite) Does anybody know the thread size and how long of bolts to use.

Take it to sears and check it. Rather than tap it you can just heat the holes with a torch a little and just run the bolt in and out.

The bolt is 7/16 X 16 and the length is 1 1/4

Im only finding 7/16x14 or 7/16x20 on line. Are you sure the thread is 16

The thread size ended up being 5/16 x 18
