How does that pipe sound, maybe a few sound clips? Are you getting any popping with it? Not a fan of the tape personally, but pipe looks nice to me. Karata rocks of course.

The Pipe is a Stainless Creations that a friend of mind didn't like and gave it to me for $50. I put them on because someone told me a 2 into 1 system would run better than a 2 into 2. I was trying to get rid of the DEAD SPOT at 2500 RPM. They not as loud as a 2 into 2 setup, and they have no battle. I like them because you don't see anyone else running these, so they stand out better. I taped them because they're hard to maintain the mirror finish look on them, and the top session of the pipes were yellowing. So I added the tape to cover that up.

Bike looks great and nice job on the self wrenching.

2 things: my fuel filter is in the petcock on my 07' Mastiff, I would think since yours is an 07' also that you already have one to. If you get starved out at WOT the extra filter could be the cause.
I like how you tucked the oil cooler between the down tubes but it might be blocking some of the air to the front cylinder now.

Yes, you like those :angry: I got them from a motorcycle shop in Levitown. If you know Long Island, NY. I don't think they have a web site or anything. If you're ever in the area we can take a ride over there. PM me if you're on the East Coast.

Good information, I didn't know there was a fuel filter built into the Petcock. But I've been riding the bike and there doesn't appear to be a problem with it getting fuel. As far as the oil cooler blocking air, I would agree that it may lower the flow some what but not enough to make a real different once I get moving. The oil cooler was really for when I ride in traffic, and at that point the air flow isn't going to matter as much if you're stuck in traffic.

Bryant sick looking bike! I also am doing about the same mods. as you,. on my 04 Mastiff. I'm waiting on my carb and intake. Is your intake a Wimmers spike? How do you like the whine of the Karata? It sounds like an emergency vehicle is behind you when you slow done. Like the paint job!

Thanks, The spike isn't a Wimmer, and sorry I don't remember who makes it because I got it 3 years ago when I got the bike. The whine really isn't that loud, but you do know it's there. The clutch that comes with the Belt is out standing too. No more searching for N at a light:bang: The paint job on the bike is a Big Dog level 9 theme, which is the highest they did at the time. Added an additional 5K to the cost of the bike at the time.
