I have an 08 mastiff and looking to buy a sissy bar. I like the 18'' bar but not sure how it would look, would 12'' look better??
Thanks

I like the "old school" look of the 18" on my Pitbull. I've read where several folks have gone from 12" to 18" but can't recall anyone going smaller once they got the 18".

My opinion. 12 for prostreet bikes. 18 for chopper style.
This combo will put the top of the bar about even with your grips.

I have 18" for travel with a bag and 12" for travel with the wife, the 12" looks better I think. This is on a ridgeback.

I absolutely agree. I have the 12" and you can strap on a decent sized travel bag on the back. If I had a K-9 I would definitely get the 18" but the 12" is perfect for the pro street. Just my :zz2cents: Good luck.

Yeah what stryfox and linx said, that is not a 12 inch, that is the one called lowboy. I had one before getting my 18 inch.

See this was my lowboy.

:2thumbs: I agree. I bought an 18 inch with luggage rack for traveling. When my wife first saw it she said it fugglied up the bike and to take it off (sell it on ebay she said but I didn't asserting the Top Dog status in the house on these matters). It wasn't on the bike for 4 hours as a fit up before she made me take it off. She always takes care of me in the looks department. Anyway, I use it for traveling. I bought a 12 inch after the 18 inch for occasions around the area if needed. But, I have to agree with her that less is more and ride mostly without a sissy bar (i.e. haven't ridden with the 12 inch yet). The 12 inch has no luggage rack on it.

I do like the lowboys but don't know if they are available for the 330mm Ridgeback.
