Spikes under bars!

Well, I finally had a little time and did the mod. necessary to put spikes under my bars. I took a grade 5 bolt and put it in the lathe and center drilled it,tapped it to a 3/8nc,and then put in a 3/8 grade 5 bolt. Then I cut off the remaining head of the bolt to create a stud. This now gives me the mounting needed for the BDM spike. Looks like dis...

Because of the down turn in the economy it seems like things came to a stand still for his inventory. I hope it picks up in the worst way because his products are unmatchable in quality and style...If he's reading this I hope he plans on some more runs...at least on the spike gas caps!:up:

Looks great! Those little things really set em apart. I like it a lot. Now that I have mine about as shiney as it is going to ever get, I am fixing to to do some mods a little a time. Has lathe in garage.
