Remove battery cables also and clean them up. Mine did the same thing and there was a little corossion under the cable end..cleaned it up and has been fine since.

You might want to plug it in and charge it up. Cold weather will weaken the battery some. Kind of like a car battery struggles to turn the motor over in the cold when it's weak.

Give that a try and let us know.

It seems like a bad or almost bad battery causes over half the issues with our Dogs. What's even stranger is all the different symptoms that a bad battery can cause. YOu would think just a dimming of lights or the dreaded "click-click" of the starter, but there are so many other issues that a poor battery will cause. I wish I had a new, hot battery on stand-by just for this reason. Well, I guess I do, I just take the one out of Rocky's bike.:D

I had the same issues on my scooter, the original battery, when the EHC when out and I changed to the Wire plus, I got a new battery at the same time. I leave it on the tender all the time, to much salt on the roads around here to get out. I kind of think that old battery might have helped the EHC to die as well.

back in october, november and december, due to being up north on vacation numerous times and not being home to ride, my bike and the wifes Honda sat with no battery tender on them for almost 90 days straight.

Since I put the wire plus in 2 years ago and a new Big Boar battery in at the same time, it can sit like that and when I go to start it, the beast fires right up.

Now the wifes Honda was another story... it was dead.

They made the EHC that way so you wouldn't smoke your battery or starter due to low battery voltage.
