Andy Update
I have Andrew news!
He is doing great!
I think he just might make his release date of Feb.5.
He seems to know so much in some areas but yet he can't do some simple things like recite the alphabet. It's so hard for me to see this once strong and intelligent man be this way.
Today, I am meeting with a Day Rehab for him to go to after he gets home and while I am at work.
He is improving daily and is in a great Rehab facility. He is gaining strength and weight and he can focus on things better.

It's truly amazing how the brain heals and reconnects those lost paths, I'm am willl to bet Andrew makes a full recovery, seeing how he has come this far this fast. Thanks for the update. March may be a great time to bring him over to Pensacola Beach for a little BDB therapy with us! :2thumbs:

Yeah....I could use BDB therapy too! :up:
And it could bring back memories because we used to vacation in Pensacola or Panama City Beach every summer.
We may have to fly because I don't think I can trust Andy to ride the bike yet! :lol:

Don't worry Cindy. His body is just still healing and re-wiring. Things WILL come back to him. Tell him it is just like replacing the EHC with a wire plus set

He did get very depressed and extremely frustrated.
But with help from his Neuropsycholgist he has gotten over it.

Hey Cindy,
You both deserve a vacation, and a trip to a place you use to visit might just be the answer to jog Andy's memory. Anyway sounds like things are getting better each and everyday. Just remember when Andy gets cranky or starts grumbling its a man's way of telling his woman that he's feeling better and he's getting frustrated that he can't do the things he use to do yet......Good Luck to the both of you and may God Bless you both.....

Very, Very,Good news. Try as hard as I know it is to remember, how far Andrew has come since I believe it was Wednesday November 10th to and I quote,"He is doing great!I have Andrew news!

,I think he just might make his release date of Feb.5. All that other stuff will come back, every bit of it, some soon, and some other things will in reality just take more time. It will return with practice. Yes maam,I understand the frustration he is going through as well, believe me I do, it will possibly be the toughest ordeal he will ever face. There is a light at the end of this tunnel! When He recovers and I fully,100% believe Andrew will recover, the battle he is going through now,until he recovers fully will make him the better man for it. Nothing about this is going to be easy for Andrew, especially the next couple of months, but as things start to get better, all that other stuff will soon follow. He will learn "Patience" for sure.Lots of f-r-u-s-t-r-a-t-i-o-n between right now and realizing you have learned patience and persistance too! You are both going to make it through this and be stronger in the end. Andrew is very, very fortunate to have a wife and best friend helping him through this healing and recovery, very, very fortunate.Andrew does have a tremendous support group backing Him up, praying for him everyday, really, truely concerned that He will fully recover as soon as possible. All those prayers and concerns for Andrew did make a difference too! Again I quote:"He is doing great! , I think he just might make his release date of Feb.5. :2thumbs:Ray :up:

Lena, I am at the hospital from 5:30-7:30 pm daily and on weekends from 11-7. This week I need to take some time to go buy a new car. I drive a small sports car Andy can't fit in, so if I am going to bring him home from the hospital and drive him around, I have to go get a big car! Andy drives a monster truck that I can't use either. :lol: So I may be hit and miss this week.
Oh, Lean, Andy is now at: Baylor Institute of Rehab, at 3505 Gaston, Room 305
