x2I know I wouldn't want it on my bulldog.
There was a member a while back that came up with a heal/toe setup... just can't remember who!Just curious if anyone is using a heal/toe shifter? If so, how do you like it? My Road Glide is my primary bike and I always use the heal to upshift. Obviously I can't do it on the Big Dog.... yet.

that sounds cool... i dont know much bout reversing shift patterns but im looking to find out more.....Yeah I'd think you'd need a floorboard for that? I don't understand the regular shift pattern, it's retarded. 1 up 5 down and you'll never miss a gear.
Chris there is nothing technical to it, it's like a teter-toter, since you are pushing down with your heal, instead of pulling up with your toes. I believe that's what he meant about the reverse shift pattern.that sounds cool... i dont know much bout reversing shift patterns but im looking to find out more.....

You are so right about the Bultaco dirt bikes... Had one in the early 70's that I hill climbed with... Man it would go up anything even with a lip at the top it would dig in and push over.....Chris there is nothing technical to it, it's like a teter-toter, since you are pushing down with your heal, instead of pulling up with your toes. You wanna get fucked up climb on an old Bultaco dirt bike with the shifter on the right and the brake on the left. I would constantly down shift with no clutch. :loony:

I like that set up with no floorboard, looks wicked, many times my big foot has stuck between the footpeg and the shifter.
i thought Moe was sayin that he changed something in transmission to go from 1 down and 5 up to 1 up and 5 down ... would seem that it would be no question youd hit your next gear!Chris there is nothing technical to it, it's like a teter-toter, since you are pushing down with your heal, instead of pulling up with your toes.
