Hey guys,
Since I installed my wire plus a while back, I've been without my tach, oil light and neutral lights. I got to looking and found the culprit. The wires that are soldered on the back have broken loose. The problem is that I'm not sure of the seqeunce to attach them back. Can someone look at the back of their tach/speedo and list the colors in order? I know that looking at the tach, that the black is attached on the far right. From there, I'm just not sure, but here are the colors, in no certain order: black, blue, yellow, orange, purple, brown, green and red. Here's a pic to show you what I'm looking for. Thanks!tach ring1.jpg

If you can see any letters on there...

A - black (ground)
B - orange (oil)
C - violet (left turn)
D - green (neutral)
E - red (power)
F - blue (high beam)
G - brown (right turn)
H - yellow (tach)

Don't know if this will help you but it can't hurt!

Thanks Dennis. I can't see a damn thing without reading glasses and will have to get a magnifying glass to see if there are letters. I brought it to work with me, so I'll take a look at it shortly. I'm going to assume that these letters are not in order on the tach ring. From the way the wires were sitting, I'm pretty sure they didn't follow right to left in this order. Thanks for your help.

Well, I've looked at it under a magnifying glass and there are no letters at the point of solder that would tell me what wire goes where. So, anyone with any info about the sequence of wires from right to left would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Took this right out of my service manual. It may be more helpful...

It appears the letters are on the under side but this pic shows that they do go in order, A thru H.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I needed. Bill, aka rubwhore, was an electronics guru in a previous life and can probably fix me up with some micro soldering skills. Sounds like a good reason to go visit my southern buddy and have a beer. He's always sitting there under that bridge holding a sign, "Will Work For Beer". Thanks again Dennis and Ron.
