what a bummer!!

guess i'm goin to 'vent' some. lately i've been buyin parts off of e-bay from the big dog factory from wichita. these were discontinued items i guess. bought a really nice "stash-tube" for my 2000 pro-sport. then later on they advertised another one,so thought i'd buy it also to make the bike more
symetrical. turns out they sent me a 'oil-cooler' that matched the stash tube, so here i am tryin to be honest about the situation,called them up and was told that if i mailed it back they would send me my stash tube i had won,and for paying the postage out of my pocket,they would send me something really nice for all the trouble i had gone through. what a big joke!!! they charged me 14.00 shipping, but i sent it back only costing me 4.00.. guess
its the thought of being lied to,and tryin to do the right thing and being honest about the whole ordeal thanks for letting me 'vent':bang::bang:

Ive bought from the same seller .... out of Wichita ..... I've had some problems with this seller, quality and description ..
but that's the risk I take on eBay ..... I beleive he also goes by "Shovelheadkicker" Hal McCloud ...

I cant deny that Shovelheadkicker has given me some good deals :2thumbs:

I think bigdogpartskingpin and shovelheadkicker are the same...they are a liquidation company specializing in Big Dog parts. Have had nothing but good luck with these guys. Great feedback for both! Hal and Derek McCloud I believe.

Well if you think about it $4.00 to ship, cost of box and packing material. Add time to ship it. Shipping should of been about $10
You were only really overcharged about $4.00
Who knows maybe the seller will send you something to make the mistake ok.

It is bad for everyone involved when crap( can I say crap in here?) like this happens. The seller gets a bad rep i fthey don't take care of it and the buyer bad mouths them like forever, at least I have before, ( Town and Country Ford ,madison tenn, opps different issue). In the long run if we try to do the right thing instead of driving truck though the show room window, we can sleep a lot better. Everything kind of goes around in a circle, it will come back to bite whomever in the butt. It does feel good to vent though, I used to punch the closest thing around, until I almost broke my hand. hope you get it straight with them, they should fix it, their mistake and an easy fix.

Ive bought a few items from shovelheadkicker myself,very simple and easy straightforward type guy to deal with ,answered all questions I ever asked...I would do buisness with him anytime cause before buying from him it was indicated on this site he had a good reputation....
Now on the flipside here.I will bet my bottom dollar the oil cooler is mmore expensive then the stash tube,shows you your WICHITANIAN made an honest mistake,I will also bet that you saved a few bucks from buying from him...at least saved $10 right????? So it looks like it was a wash....but one more thing....wasnt it a pure pain in the ass to run to UPS or FED EX or whatever shipping magnate you used??????? If you had it to do again bet it'd be worth paying someone the 10 bucks to do it for you.........
Then on the other handd look at all the physcological input you got from this website for absolutely no charge at all and now your all vented out!!!!!!!!!:bang::up::2thumbs:

:argue:well its just the fact that i saw where the same oil cooler went for 200.00 on ebay,hell i could have kept it and not said anything, and used it. but my bike doesnt get hot in 100 degree weather, so didnt need it. just was tryin to do the right thing. if he says he's gonna do somethin then he should stand behind his word. like ray says it will catch up with him sooner or later.
any way, thanks for lettin me 'vent', guess its not the worst thing that could happen.
