The 08 K9 is gone...

Well yesterday November 4th was a sad day for me... I sold my 08 Big Dog k9.. I bought the bike new and only had 1700 miles on the bike... Don't get me wrong I loved riding the bike but due to a lot of different factors on why I'm not able to ride as much as I would like I decided to cut my losses and sale...

I didn't get what I really wanted for the bike but in this economy I didn't make out too bad... I am going to stay an active member of this forum because I plan on buying another big dog one day... I hope they stay in business because I love the bikes...

I am going to keep my eyes open and if I can find a k9, chopper or ridgeback for $8,000-$10,000 that is just a good deal than I might buy it and I can afford just to sit on it while I'm not riding much... In this economy it probably won't be too hard to find a great deal...

Just be patient in your search, I promise you the deals are out there! I just picked up an 04 Ridgeback with only 1,400 miles that's in showroom new condition. It looks like it's been kept in a bubble it's whole life, and I got it on the lowest end of your price range!

I'm a little confused here, you just SOLD a bike, now your looking to buy already and let it sit.

Why not just have kept what you had, rather than lose money on the bike, turn around and buy used and lose money again down the line. Pay on what you had, at least you knew where & what the bikes been thru. I'm guessing your already out $20g...why lose more?

Don't take my statements the wrong way, from a business side its just confusing.

No, I didn't lose no where near 20g... I got a fair price for my bike if I find one in the $8,000-$10,000 range that would only make me spend half of what I sold my bike for...

With that said I'm not really looking to buy another one today... But at the same time if I find an incredible deal and I spend $8,000-$10,000 and also have that much money in the bank left over from what I got for my bike I can live with sitting on the bike and only ride every now and then... I'm only buying if I find a bike that they are selling way under value... I'm not going to buy a 2000 or 2001 thats really only worth $8,000 or $10,000...

I searched for several months, actually looked on all of the above, but found this one on craigslist. I made a few ridiculous offers along the way too, figured what did I have to lose...nothing! Good luck in your search, it's a buyer's market!

Sorry you had to part with your bike.
There are alot of great deals out there right now. I've seen quite a few go by on E bay.
For me ( If you plan on takin some time anyway) build one yourself. Its way more rewarding and alot of fun too. I'm not taking away from anyone who bought a Chopper in a box -or Chopper off the shelf. Make it your own-Thats what a Chopper is supposed to be. A custom made motorcycle. Just my thoughts good luck Tim
