I installed a baker open primary
only negative I found was clutch lever force increased alot
My question is the 12 plate clutch pluse taking off the easy pull ball ramp
that the bike had(have to take off because of 12 plate clutch as per instructions)
sure like the old clutch lever force

I'm the worst
Question did the easy pull make the clutch lever that easy
It feals very strong
Liked the easy pull ball ramp alot better
I taught i put something in wrong when i first pulled the lever
Yes baker did add a sheet and gave the ball ramp

The drive looks good Myanoch, I guess you didn't what that blower whine that everyone loves that comes with a Karata?

No it does have a slight wine
I just liked the baker look
also liked the stainless cog pulleys
Still believe the Karata is a great unit
The one thing that is amazing is the belt drive does change the harmonics in the bike is smoother with the belt drive
plus you get rid of that compensator sprocket which kills the starter

I have priced the Baker Belt Drive out to quite a few people over the past few months. We are always here to help forum members if you decide to go with Baker.

I like the look myanoch, and I yes to answer your question the ball ramp is what made you clutch pull easier. I think you give up some clutch rod movement with the easy pull and you probably now have a heavier clutch spring. Does Baker make an easy pull to go with this setup?

Talded withBaker
Talked with Energy one
Energy one is the clutch material that they use in lots of BD clutches????
Kent was very helpful
The easy pull does not travel far enough to run 12 discs from my findings
Put a dial indicator at clutck rod and took readings
Swithced back to 9 disc plates (.120 steel plates instead of the .060 that are in the 12 pack)
installed the easy pull
works great
One thing was that the standard ramp pull moves rod .140
the easy pull moves it .085
The lever is easy to use
I have problems with my hands and need the easy pull more than I need a clutch that can handle strong burn outs
Old age is not fun
