Looking at a 07 K9 Limited, 2800 miles, just curious what it may be worth. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I bought mine used from a dealer and they were asking about $3K higher than average retail. I offered them low retail and we met in the middle just over average retail. It really depends on how much they have invested in it, what's the market like and how long have they had it for sale. General rule: They will never list it at the lowest price they will take. Always go low and meat in the middle. I would bet you could get it for $17-18K.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Actually looking at it for a buddy, he has to sell his 07 GSXR 1000 yet. Makes me sick to think what the Big Dogs are worth now. I picked up an 06 Fire Red/Silver Flames chopper in June 09, should have waited a year...but it only had 103 miles on it and never been titled. I've got big money into it but I don't plan on selling it so maybe the market will come back. I have yet to see another one like it, guess they only made 102 in 06.

I'd offer $16k, I think they maybe sitting on the bike for awhile. The Limited Editions did have powdercoated and machined wheels, I think diamond cut heads and a few other "upgrades". I'll repeat what has been said, this economy is really for the buyers, I'm sure you could get the seller to $16k or $17k.

And I HATE knowing my bike dropped half it's value... glad I love it and plan on keeping it.

Offer $15g, when they decline the offer just tell them, "you have my number, but don't wait to long I'm buying something soon".

Give it about 3 - 5 days and your phone will be ringing.

I recently bought one and the person I bought it from did not want to deal either. I bought mine for 20,500. Brand new they were 35k and this one has a different cam, new pipes, air intake and few others. They are good looking bikes for sure. There is one for sale on cycle trader.com com and the asking price is 20,900 with only 2800 miles on it

$20k is still a lot cheaper then the $32k I paid for my K-9 new.

20K is a steal on the Limited Edition. I paid 26K for mine new with about a thousand "demo" (owner rode it) miles on it.

I just had a local guy sell an 06' black/real flame K9, with 5,500 miles on it for $14,500!! I could not believe I missed it!! Bikes in the midwest are selling cheap right now. If your looking for something specific and know what your price point is, drop me a PM and I bet I could help you find one, or at least run the VIN on whatever your looking at and give you some info on the history etc.... offer is on the table -J

Supposedly they sold it for $20,950, I find that hard to believe......
A dealer has a much easier time selling a bike right now. Financing is key and it is much easier to finance through a dealer.

There are a lot of people that say what they want for a payment and if the dealer can hit that number and get it financed it's sold.

Most of the time someone buying from a private owner is looking for a deal, doesn't want to pay sales tax an has financing approved by their bank
