So I was prepped to change out my back tire, and caught something in the process. Felt like crap the last three days and decided this morning to take my tire to the local HD dealer to have it swapped out.

3 hours later I get my tire/wheel back after what was supposed to be a 30 minute swap. Nothing like sitting in a dealership feeling like total crap.

But they were pretty reasonable on the price, $80 for an hours labor and no bullshit shop fees. I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow, can clean the hell out of my bike and get it back together for the weekend.

Next time I'll be doing it myself.

No fun stooping over and wrenching when you don't feel good.

Hope the rest goes well.

Get well soon! I don't envy you with all that Buffalo Chip dirt cleaning that you have ahead of you!

That shit kills me. Takes me less than 10 minutes on my tire machine. Guess you got the new guy

I'll take an hours labor charge versus not riding this weekend if I kick this cold.

Agreed but not my point. The raping of America continues.....
I don't feel raped at all, but I guess I would if I had my own tire machine. I see it as a business and they charged me for an hours worth of labor. No shop fees, no disposal fees, no fees since I didn't buy the tire from them, etc....

The service manager did have a confused look on his face when I said no to balancing. He had never heard of dynabeads.

I'm not buying it. Tim just wanted me to ride over and help him out after I told him how Ray and I swapped my tires out.

I worked harder at helping Ray keep his balance than taking the actual tire off!:D

Remember these?:D Looks more like a barfight (Ray seems to be winning? WTF?)

and yes....those are the infamous Tejas sandals.
