Seat not attached, missing bracket

I was checking out the bike, and noticed that the seat was sliding all over. Pulled it off and it looks like there is a missing bracket for the seat to slide into. Can anyone identify what's missing?

I don't see anything missing, what I do see it that the bracket on the seat is kind of push down. There should be a gap between the bracket and the seat with will fit on to that square looking piece at the end or the back bone. That is the way mine works, maybe your battery sits up to high and and you can't hook the seat the way its' supposed to. Did you buy your bike new and is the battery a big dog battery or is it another brand.

When I put my seat on I lift up on the back of the seat ah little while pushing down on the front as I slide it into place, you can feel it go into the bracket and stop.

I tried to get the tongue to slide into the squeare bracket for many minutes. When I did get it to catch didn't feel like it slid in far at all. (Looked like the taper of the tongue was wider than the bracket). I'll go mess with it more.

Bike was purchased used, and just showed up today.

OK, I measured it and it should fit. I think I got it back on there. Looks a little off, but it's escure. I had to use a bit of downward pressure and pulled up on the back of the seat bending it up a bit to fit it back into place.

Thanks for the help. Figured either something fell off, or I was doing something wrong.

When I got my 2-up seat I had to loosen those bracket screws & make a slight adjustment, you might try that if it still gives you trouble.
