To Flip or Not To Flip

I took the plate off and removed the assembly from the bracket, but the holes don't line up. There is enough wire there to allow a 90 degree turn of the plate holder. But there might be a problem with the dremelled out passage way for the wire going in the wrong direction. I only had a few minutes today to look at as we had to go to Venice Beach to meet friend.

Tomorrow I have to go see my Tat lady to fix my tat where I had some surgery and it needs to be filled in. I wish it were Pixie or Kat working on it. Busy busy busy... never a dull moment.
There are 5 holes on the bracket that attaches to the frame. the extra one is for flipping it.

Well, I FLIPPED IT!!! The 5 holes are there in the bracket attached to the swing arm (just like you said), however I had to drill 4 new holes in the plate that attaches to it. To do that I had to unsolder and remove the light assembly to get the wire out of the bracket/plate passage way. Then I drilled 4 new holes (the markings were on the plate for hole placement. Then finally to countersink the screwholes on the plate like the originals. After resoldering the wires to the bulb holder and reassembly of the bracket and license plate holder..... wwaahhhhhllllaaaaa. I have it flipped. Looks nice and now I don't smack my shins as I walk by to take out the trash. LOL

Thanks for the incentive and info... Job is done !!!

I'll take some photos and post them in the next few days. I have some outpatient surgery tomorrow, so it might be a day or two to take the photos.

Cobra... I look at your bike info... I think the reason yours didn't have the holes is cause its a 2003. They didn't start predrilling them till like 2005 I think.
