factory highly recommends and warns AGAINST the use of a stick-on seat on a flat paint job. so much so that it is stated in the service manual and i think also in the owners manual.

i have a flat back ridgeback and the suction cups work well, but be warned, you will notice some smudging of the paint. i use stripper juice polish when i take the pad off and it hides it pretty good.

Not sure how it would look on flat black, but I use the 3M adhesive tape shield between my p-pad and rear fender. Without it, found that suction cups kept leaving marks on fender.

yah my fender is pin striped ...... wouldn't be that easy... even if i clean the cups and fender real well before i put down ... will it leave marks?

their main concern is not the marking of the paint, it is the loss of suction/adhesion and the possibility of the passenger falling off.
