Cool. I am assuming that the ring gear would just need to be switched from the stock one?

The piece on the stock one that breaks is billet on the Bandit, it also has more clutch disk ect..

I just got mine in today! I took the stock broke basket to the Harley dealer to press out the shaft and press it into the new Bandit one. (probley not the cheapest place to get it done but they are close to me lol) I am new to the Big Dog world and cant wait to get it back together. I am thinking the bike will ride like a whole new bike! I felt a vibration and felt like the primary chain had slack in it.. Now I know that was beacause of the basket broke!! I have a feeling the 475.00 will be 100% worth it.
