LOWER FRAME PROTECTION

sometime you can't avoid the bottom scrapping. Been thinking about getting the bottom rails painted with Rhino coat or Line-X (tastfully of course). You can't see the bottom so what the heck. Not worried about bending the frame just about scapping the paint to the metal and rust setting in.

Damn those things bring back memories and I'm not sure their all good. As I recall those were used so as to not scrape up the wide-wide white walls on the 63 Buick Electra 225(Duece and a Quarter!). If memory serves me.
Now to install them on a Big Dog would require a person of special skills.

Plastic/rubber tubing would work, just need to figure out a clean way to secure it. I had something in mind a while back but can't remember what the item was. It's a plastic item that is design to wrap around 3 sides of a tube with the bottom portion being flat. I wish I could remember what it is and where I saw it. :bang:

I think I saw lower frame covers in the J&P catalog that used double sided tape.
If I recall correctly it was a Dave Perowitz design.
