Well i knew it would happen but didn't know when.. Being an early build 05 My Mastiff had the "weak link" clutch basket.. after joining this forum and reading of the failures i picked one up on e-bay for a spare and waited..........
Well in early june i noticed that the bike wanted to keep surging with the clutch in at a stop in gear. That's the First sign... So i adjusted the push rod and cable and it was better.. Did the Canada ride and took it to Laconia in August and it started to do it again at the end of my vacation.. tried to adujst it and no improvement. That's the second sign. Well i rode to Auburn hills for some training last Wednesday and rode till late evening and now the scraping noise started... Time to look in side... and this is what i found..
No Big deal..It made it 11.000 miles and I knew it would happen. so now that it is done and the new style part is in no more wondering if it will break while on a long trip.... I will most likely pick up the Bandit setup and install it this w@#$%... i mean "off season"
But I'm OK for the rest of this year... :2thumbs:
