Saw the bike at the Big Dog Trailer as well. My only disappointment with Big Dog was the lack of accessories. I tried to buy some rear passenger pegs for my bike and there were NONE to be found. I could easily get a pillion pad at Mustang or wherever, but without the pegs, it was pointless, and there were PLENTY of women wanting on the back of the dog! Three of us up there, two Harleys and my Pit and we were picking up two bartenders on their day off, and when we pulled up, they pointed to mine and said, "I want on that one!" But with no seat, no such luck! So I just rode in the back and enjoyed the views!!! Had one hell of a good time anyway!

Dude's got his priorities straight anyway...bike wins out over new teeth!
Good for him! I've got that anniv. color combo in K9...very nice!:2thumbs:

:2thumbs: Saw that bike there also, and was also disapointed in the acc. selection there and if you noticed most of the new bikes there were 2009 models!

One of our members here bought a bike from the Big Dog truck while at Sturgis this year!

I won't divulge who and let him tell about it....but that's 2 bikes that we know of now! :2thumbs:

Enjoyed the video of the Happy Camper! :)

While at the factory a few weeks ago, we asked the same question as to why they don't sell more "stuff" at Sturgis. Supposedly they have an agreement with their dealers not to sell stuff if they are within 50 miles or some kind of crap like that.

We saw this bike before and after he bought it, but what is neat is the serial number one aniv. wolf was here also. Those of us in the Spear fish canyon
survivors group came across the #1 wolf and two K9s .They were from Minisota and had never heard of the forum. We all thought it was pretty cool to see this after Bublehead and others wussed out of our group. Ha. Ha.

Spoke with Matt, Shane (Big Dog Factory) and Jim (Rolling Thunder, Salt Lake City) and they indicated yesterday that about 9 bikes had been sold to date.

On the negative side, some of the personnel working at the BDM truck were downright rude to people (If you're not buying a bike, don't talk to me) and there was a distinct lack of anything Big Dog, like accessories, T-shirts etc.

On the positive side, the service crew (Shane and Jim, along with Matt) were more than extremely accomodating, polite and went way out of their way to take care of current and new BDM owners.

Hats off to them.

I am jealous of all who get to go to sturgis and other rallies but I will console myself with the weather here. If they have deals like this then why not offer to at least carry the local dealers stock to have something to offer us the consumer. BD wants to maintain good standing with their dealers the dealers want to sell products and we want to buy them. It's a winning proposal with only a little extra effort to satisfly all parties. If the dealer won't supply stock then BD should be allowed to bring thier own. Maybe there's more to it then that.

When you are his age, or my age, teeth don't matter cosmetically speaking. Unless you are a dentist! Like you said, his bike is priority and that's what matters.
