Ride with Shorts???

I saw Superfly at Bike Week in Daytona. He had ridden over from Orlando in shorts. I called him out on it and told him he was a "dumbass." He told me to "fuck off."
Then we drank a beer together.
If you don't believe this really happened, ask BB Chopper. He was there, but he had jeans on.
I was going to try to get Superfly banned from this forum because he was mean to me, but I don't know how to do that.

I've been known to wear jean shorts and my riding boots. My old saying " I don't give a Fuck" comes to mind. Definitely get some strange looks. :D

Will not wear shorts and will not let anyone ride with me with shorts. As a parent/uncle/role model to my kids, their boyfriends, nephew etc. I always wear jeans. My girls often ask to go for rides and I tell them not until they put on some jeans (full face helmet included). My nephew now points out other riders wearing shorts and comments on how dumb it is for many reasons. He has had a couple of spills already and though not fail safe the jeans have limited his scrapes etc. But again to each his own, just depends on the message you want to send! :2thumbs:

I ride my bike everyday with shorts and a muscle shirt. Ask me if I give a damn who laughs! First off, they won't laugh to my face. Lets face it, in 98 degree weather, who looks sillier, the guy in shorts or the guy trying to look so biker in long pants, leathers and boots. I don't put on a parachute in my plane, I don't wear a life jacket in my boat and I'm not wearing all that stuff to look biker in case I fall on my bike either!!!!

I rode all over Tampa/St Pete in shorts, it was great except for the killer sunburn I had when I was done for the day....:D

I'm with Superfly on this one...:up: Don't make us file a class action against your arse....:roll:

I never wear shorts on the dog, but wear shorts on the street glide if it is going to be a short ride.

Thats what you read into the comment? I meant those who ride with me, on the back a passenger! Get it? Don't care who rides in what on other bikes! Settle down! :job::job:

I'd never ride in shorts and think it just as stupid as ring in flip flops!!!

(You see it all down here in Florida)

I seen a guy riding a couple months ago with no shirt, wearing shorts, sandals, and a half helmet!

WTF... there is no helmet law in Florida!!!! :loony:

Why wear a helmet if you don't have any other clothes on!!! :rolleyes:

Have never worn shorts on any of my bikes...probably never will...but that's just my choice...don't fault anyone if they want to though.

:roll::roll::roll: This thread is the best:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: I knew a guy that slipped on a slick spot"oil?" while on his custom ..at at light IN FLIP FLOPS ..he dropped his $30000.00 bike in front of many people ..and was burned by the hot pipes ...apparently his screams "from the burns yup his shorts did not protect him ?" Attracted a off duty LEO who called the FUZZ LOL and to add insult to injury ..THE DUMB ASS got a DWI and a scuffed up tank and bent controls ... I think he told the LEO he only had two beers LOL:cheers: Stupid is what stupid does. :loony:

Rarely....almost never, personally I just don't like the way it looks. What I do though, being in Florida, is sport a pair of swim trunks under a pair of overalls. Then I can hop a pool, a creek, or the gulf, or just shuck the overalls and have shorts on to stand around or do whatever. :2thumbs:
