Ride with Shorts???

Never

I always wear boots and jeans here in Texas and usually a long sleeve shirt. The clothes seem to protect me from the effects of the oven like winds that dehydrate me.

Only every now and then, but wear my top siders all the time during the summer. Too damn hot to wear boots, especially during the day. But flip-flops? No f*#cking way. :job:

Just depends on the weather and how long a ride it's gonna be. Got a burn healing on my right calf now. When it's over 100 degrees it's not gonna matter any way cause it feels like a hair dryer blowing in your face anyway. Do what's comfortable for you.
Oh and I have never worn flip flops! lol

Not sure how to start the poll, but how many of us have the calf burn already this year. Mad Dog will be selling the muffler sock on a group buy in no time. HA!

So you ride in long sleeve shirts and a full face I'd suppose? I don't ride in my shorts either, but I don't care what others ride in... could be there PJ's for all I care....:2thumbs: Just curious.

If you do that, the real bikers will laugh at you.
The "real" bikers can kiss my big fat white ass! :job:  If it's hotter than a rat's ass in hell's kitchen (which it's been here in Misery these past couple weeks), I got news for you...I'm wearing shorts! Could honestly give a crap less what anyone else thinks. I don't ride to portray an image. I ride because I live for it. Period. :2thumbs:

no helemt for me...unless riding through Neb. or other state that requires one.
vest or jacket depending on the temp. Boots ALWAYS for protection. Shorts and/or flip flops you are just asking for it. My opinion only, but ride as you wish!

I agree...wear whatever you feel comfortable in (including helmet or not, unless req'd by law).
I get a kick out of seeing BMW riders in full dress, 'head-to-toe' leathers when it's 90+ degrees out!
But hey...to each, his own!

Ride it like you stole it
Yap, I do when it's too damn hot otherwise. I prefer not to, If it's over 80 I'm wearing shorts for sure. I don't care about the looks I get.

Ride all the time in shorts when it's hot.Bowhunter gives me hell over it I would rather be comfortable and ride than have a heat stroke.

Me I wear pants everytime. I never rode in shorts. Actually I only wear shorts to swim.
Once in a while I will ride in sneakers if I'm only running local.

Shorts are for Tennis

It has been hovering around 100 here in the midwest with the humidity almost as high and I will not wear shorts. Not that a pair of thin jeans provide much more protection but every times I see a guy riding in shorts, they look like a tool. Just ride faster and air it out.

Yep, shorts here too...got the healing burn mark right below my right calf. And don't forget the occasional bee up the shorts stinging your ass!
