To Flip or Not To Flip

Trying to decide if I want to flip the license plate. Looked thru the picture gallery for some pics of bikes with there plates flipped and didn't see very many. Just wanted to get your views on it. As Gas said it is a free mod. You people have never steered me wrong so far. Youv'e just cost me alot of money. :D

I would say flip it. If you don't you're goona walk around the bike and you're gonna bust you shin. :roll:

Like I said, I'll hopefully have the how to done today, even though it is quite easy, I'll have pics to help. For whatever its worth.

You can also get your bloody leg stuck between the kickstand and plate getting ready to ride! stupid ass me did this when it was new - still have the marks.

Ya, one prick Cop can fuck up a day. One way around the shin knocker problem is to get the collapsable plate holder mod from BDM. Simple to install and avoids the "Ticket Vs Shins" argument. Don't forget, with the plate horizontal, some asshole, some time is gonna bang into it too while he's eye fucking your ride...

I checked with the state cops here in Louisiana and it's legal-not saying some badged up ass won't make a point of it. I haven't gone verticle with mine cause I got a tough enough time hooking my heel on the side stand to get it down. Figured verticle decreased the room to get to the stand. You guys that went vertical got any input?

Hell I gave up on trying to be a gymnast. Now when I stop, I just reach down with my left hand and pull down the KS that way.

Did see a guy here in Dallas pull into the parking lot at a local joint and drop his bike because he lost balance to the left when he got his foot hooked up. Not saying that beer had anything to do with that though :cheers: :bang: :roll:

Got a 143.00 ticket here in TN for having mine vertical. It was a state cop prick having a bad day. I reasearched the law and the statue says that the tag should not be less than 12 inches from the ground and mounted horizontally so as it does not swing. Well with the tag horizontal the bottom of my tag is only 9 in from the ground.
So I fought the ticket and had it thrown out

Flipped mine years ago, looks more like a custom bike. I'm with Nelson on using the hand to deploy the stand, I'm 6'2" with long legs and arms so it works better for me.
