OK I know you and I both had the same issue with the Miami exhaust so I have to ask....... What makes these more special just because they are made by someone else? What did he say that would prevent them from turning colors?
All I can say is anything has to be better than those Miami's and congrats they looks sweet!:2thumbs:
The difference is the top part are ceramic coated. The tips bolt on and are chrome.
The tips use three bolts to attach and there is a gasket. I did use red lock tite which was a bad idea because when the pipe heated up it ran down in a couple places onto the chrome tip.
I have not had any leaks with them and no blueing at all.
after over 1000 miles there is some color change on the rear pipe but not on the front. The color change is the coating changed to a grey instead of shiny like polished aluminum.
I'm guessing the difference is the lack of air flow since this part of the pipe is tucked behind the rear cylinder.
I just had them Jet hot coated with their Extreme silver so I think it will fix it.
The pipes fit great and I think they gave me more bottom end as they are stepped 4 times and sound deeper.
I would advise anyone who wants them to order them without the coating as he does not use Jet Hot and he uses someone local in Florida.
I was skeptical as I think Jet Hot is the best.
However, they did not blue at all
