Had a blowout on lowboy while towing the bike, Beltway 8, two lanes no shoulder. Had I not secured my bike (lots of straps) it could have gotten real ugly!
08,
I hope everything turned out OK
I had to have my bike towed on a flat bed last night and the driver only had 3 straps i was nervous as hell, but she didnt fall, thank god.

Strap job looks good, would use some cloth on the painted and polished parts that the straps come in contact with...:2thumbs:

Which company did you rent the truck from? I have to haul two cross country soon as well as my lift and roll around.....curiuos as the last Uhaul I rented did not have tie downs on the floors/corners....I had to flim flam some crazy $hit to those rails on the walls......that wont work again for me...not cross country...

If you ask for a Uhaul with anchor points in the floor they can fix you up, I took a wheel chock and used metal screws and screwed that to the floor, they probably wouldnt like it a lot if they knew but honestly who cares. Better be ready to spend a fortune,,, It would be cheaper to have them transported. I spent $400 just for a one way rent without adding in the extra fuel costs and I could have had it shipped for $500 Something to think about..

Uhaul..

I agree Thumper......but I have a roll around and a lift that needs to go as well...pretty sure the guys who hual bikes will only haul bikes....not my other crap....anyone know different on this or know a company that will tote stuff with bikes??

Thanks...

recently my oil pressure light was on for no reason to which they found no problem. i needed to haul it to calgary (approx. 90miles). i used seven 1" ratchet straps to secure the dog. to much? possibly. but i had peace of mind.

It was a U-Haul, and it didn’t have good tie down brackets. That’s why my straps in the pic where all over the place. I did the best I could with what was available. Maybe you can do what thumper said and request a U-Haul w/ anchor points. I’m considering buying a low boy
