I am moving from New Orleans to Greenville texas, I need to get my K-9 up there but I don't have a trailer, even if I did have one I wouldn't be able to tow it because I am towing my 5th wheel. Any Ideas???:bang:

Good Idea, its either that or drive back down here (9 hours) and rent a trailer to tow it.

Have a buddy drive your truck and you ride the dog. It will be some good seat time and you can fly your buddy home for less then the gas to drive to the new location. Probably under 200.00. I did it when I moved from Jersey to Iowa and then again When I moved from Iowa back to Jersey. But I had to do it with 2 friends because I was bringing my moving truck, towing a car and brought 2 other cars with me. such a hassle to move but it needs to be done sometimes.

Thumper let me know when you want to go for a ride. I'm always ready to get the dog out on the road

I might try the letting my buddy drive the truck with the 5th wheel but I'm kinda picky about other people driving my truck especially with my trailer behind it.

When are you moving? Fly me down and I'll drive something up as long as it coinsides with my scheduled or rent a small uhaul and throw the bike in the back of it and let him drive than up.

Looks like I am going to go with a motorcycle moving company. I remember there was some talk about them a while back but I can't seem to find the thread. Does anyone have a suggestion about a mover they have had a good experience with, or a company that I should stay away from.

If you're that picky.....the early suggestions would be better. Vehicle moving companies can f-up your stuff. I had cars and a boat moved from California to Florida and all had some damage. I should has sold everything in Ca. and re-purchased in Fl. Would have saved money. If you can't trust a buddy to help you move.....forget the movers

It is not that I don't trust my friends to move my stuff I just wouldn't ask someone that isn't experienced towing a 35 foot fithwheel behind a 1 ton dually to do it for me.

Nothing to it once you hit the interstate. Let your buddy ride your bike till you get out on I10 or I20, then let them drive the truck. For someone needing a little help, you're getting mighty picky. Do your friends ride bikes? Do they drive trucks? If not, then first get some new friends, then do like we all suggested. Good luck!:whoop::cheers:
