I was wondering how many people here are riding a 2010 Bulldog and what they think of it. I have been riding a K-9 for about 4 years now and love it. Its not uncommon for me to go on a 3 or 4 thousand mile trip. Bike fit me great. About 3 weeks ago I got bumped on the highway by another car and went down doing 80mph. I'm good :whoop: bike is totaled. :( Went to test ride a Bulldog yesterday. Thought it might be a better ride for the wife and kid. Wife loved it. I didnt hate it as much as I thought. The EPA has the motor choked down somthin fierce. Anyway... havin a hard time talkin myself into a bagger. Would love to hear thoughts on the bike.

Type "Bulldog Bagger" into this Forum's search engine window and you'll find lots of threads on it. Remember, Big Dog used to run 107" engines in their bikes prior to '05, and American Ironhorse (R.I.P.) standard engine was 111" on all their bikes (117" and 124" upgrades for extra $ and shorter warranty periods...I think they only offered 6 months on the 124" upgrade!). So, don't discount the 111" engine vs. 117". Focus more on the ergonomics of the bike and your riding style. I'd be surprised if an EFI 111" couldn't outrun a carbureted 117" nearly every time anyway...

Hey U.M. I also test rode one of the BDM truck and it had been tweaked (all I was told) But it ran like a raped ape :eek:so dont let the choked down one you rode fool ya. The one I rode was alot smoother than my 07 bulldog (NO BAGS AND FAIRING BACK THEN) and was no shit fast. It was so good my woman has already gave the ok for two dogs in the pen once we get the finances up to that level:2thumbs:

How could someone bump you at 80! Were they trying to kill you? Were they on the fxxking cell phone, text messaging, etc.

I wonder what they meant by "tweaked"? I assume it had the SuperTrapp slip-ons? With EFI, what else could be done to improve the 111" engine performance?

Anybody have specs & details on the stereo system they're putting in the new Bulldogs? All I've read is that it's an "Alpine Marine Grade" system..

I wonder how it compares to stock Harley systems on Streetglides, Roadglides, etc?

Anything is better than Harley stereo's. They are weak at best. All my buddies that have Harley's spent alot to get them to sound good.

I've got the new bulldog. I put the supertraps slip-ons on it. It runs great. The stereo is unbelievable. I can cruise at 80 mph and still hear my iPod. This is the bike I've always wanted.

No way at all.
AHH..the gauntlet's been thrown!
It would be interesting and fun to see a pair of them in a side x side match-up on a 1/4 mile strip sometime.:whoop::cheers:
Doubtful anyone in their right mind owning $30-40K custom bikes would do this though, so we'll just have to speculate.

I love to open mine up. I bet no one on here would think a EFI 111 would pull a carb 117. Easy money for us 117 carb boys. Those EFI 111's are not very strong.

I had an 07 Mastiff. It was faster than the Bulldog I now own. It would be a fun race and I enjoy the times I can open it up. I'm also heavier than the Mastiff. But the fairing helps with air flow. Someday maybe.

That 111 is a sweet motor and one would not go wrong with it. It is very crisp and smooth. Running above 100mph is also not an issue. :D

I like that bike and would get one over the harley every day.

I ended up getting the Bulldog afterall. I LOVE it. Not a big fan of the 111 though. Not enough guts. I have had the bike about 4 months and just turned 10k mi. I took it to the shop for its 10k checkup. While its there we are going to change the ECU, cam it, and bore it out a little. We will see what it does. :D My 117 from the K-9 would have smoked the 111. Lets see if we can change that.
