!bOOb! Flash Sold Me

Saw a Big Dog Mastif at Cook's, went to a Dealer for a test ride.
Salesman rode the Chopper, I rode the Mastif
--sold me with the ride and attention I got on the ride out! Awesome!
Everyone waving, honking horns, comments, etc...

Then we switched bikes just for the heck of it on the way back
I was on the Chopper at the stop light in the OC.

Two girls in a Mustang Convertible pull up next to me,
and they both flash me their BARE TITS:2thumbs:
AND IT WAS A DONE DEAL FROM THERE !
got the Chopper cause of the bOOb show and the fun has never stopped since!

Hi. My name is DJ and I'm a Chromeoholic.

After years of owning harleys and never being satisfied with the way it came from the factory, add the chrome, add the fat tire, fatten up the motor, change the rake, etc. etc. etc:job:.

There it was:eek:.

When I walked into the showroom and saw the Black Mono K-9 w/chrome package I thought WOW look at that. 117ci, 6 speed Baker 300 avon tire and all that chrome I WON'T HAVE TO CHANGE A THING.........................
Just upgrade to the VH exhaust and that's all it will need. Well that and the S&S intake but that's it, not going that route again. Just gunna put a oil cooler on it to protect the engine no wait two coolers and a ness gauge to monitor things but that's it no more this is nuts.
So as i'm sitting on the ostrich seat stretchin' out to the 2.5" extension, hangin on to the XO grips & pegs lookin in the ness mirrors listing to the belt whine of the 4" karata I realize.

I am an ADDICT.

I went to a few bike nights at Quaker Stake and Lube in Columbus, Ohio and there was always the Big Dog semi truck showing off their bikes. I wanted something “different” then the Harley. I looked at the bikes and tried to deal but the dealership in Columbus wouldn’t budge off sticker price on their 2 year old bikes. I looked at Big Dogs web site for a few months drooling and saw that the Mutt came out and was in my price range. I drove to Erie Pennsylvania and traded the Harley just by seeing the picture of the Mutt online.

:up:Since I was a kid I always dreamed of owning that special bike. Well I started watching shows on custom bikes...was not that much into choppers but the street pro caught my eyes. I googled many a custom bike shop out there. Big dog came across..I read magazine articles, did my due dilegence saw the type of enigne they used etc etc... BUT the final thing that made up my mind, believe it or not, was finding this website and hearing what the owners had to say. I am grateful for the info placed in here and am so happy with my MASTIFF!

Everybody has a Harley. :D
I totally went on blind faith and reviews of the '08 pitbull.
I purchased the bike sight unseen via internet from a dealer
and the rest is history.
It's not only a awesome ride it is quite the conversation starter
whether in motion or sitting still!

I went to my brother in laws motorcycle shop looking for a Harley...... Saw the stock harleys and wanted to know where the other Harleys were. He looked at me like I had two heads......... I said, "you know", the ones with a longer fork, bigger tires, drag bars, lower seat. Something that doesn't look like a bike my grandfather rode. Something that is not exactly like the other 75 Harleys riding around town..... Something like what Billy in Easy Rider rode. He explained that Harley doesnt have that model, and you buy the Harley, then you spend more money making it into what you really want. So I left at that point.....

He called me a few weeks later and said I think I have the bike you were looking for. He had a Big Dog 2003 chopper with no miles on it, in the shop for cheap money (12K). The guy was moving and needed cash bad...... Three hours later, I had the bike I was looking for...

i have always had a bike, or at least dads bikes when i wasnt old enough for a lisens yet. I have road them all, kz1000's,62 shovel pan springer,75 flh that had been changed into something tottaly differant. never realy had a fav. but always got what i could afford wich was mostly sohc 750s and always turned them into what i wanted, if i wanted a fat tire, i would buy the wheels and tires and make them work on the bike. seen a few big dog adds and a few on the road and got the big idea that i would build and sell enough of these sohc 750 chops to buy one of them:cheers: but 15 bikes or so later i still didnt have one. we always go to a abate party in kansas and i got a few friends that live right there and they all had ultra's the first year out there. well this last year a few weeks before the part i get a call to make sure i was goin to be there and they was like you have to see our new dogs, lol, they all three got dogs, two choppers and one ridgeback. well when i got there i was like damn that looks like a lot of bike:D and my budy mike said take mine for a ride and tell me what you think, it was the 03 chopper, i took off down the road and the vibration on the pegs made my legs go to sleep and when i got off i about fell on my face:lol: they all laughed and my other budy said take mine down the road, the 04 ridgeback, so i climbed on and took off and was in love, road beter and less vibration than the chopper. told him if he ever wanted to sell it i wanted it. well a year later he comes down to go riding and do a little partying and had a deer come out in front of him and he hit the ditch, broke his leg and some stitches but at least he had a helmet on saved his brain, lol. as he is in the hospital just out of sergery he asked if the bike was totaled and i told him i bet they do total it and he said fuck it he will just get a new one, and then i got a idea:loony: if they do total it can i buy it from you for what they will sell it back to you for and he siad yes and the rest is history. i brung it home, put a new neck cup, fork tubes, blinker and head light, quick paint job on the tins to get me buy tell this winter when i can tear it all the way down and paint it up the way i want it and have put over a 1000 miles on it between rain storms and cold weather.
sorry for all the bad spelling.....oh and i guess i sould add i got my ridgeback for $5500 and already had most of the stuff to put it back together:up:

I had an 07 V Rod and was starting to spend money making it "different". My dad has a street rod shop that I grew up in so naturally I don't like things like everyone else has. I started realizing it would cost a lot to make the V Rod much different and it was still just a Harley. I have been wanting to build a ground up radical custom bike for quite a few years. I mean building my own frame, tank, fenders the whole deal. I have the capability to do that but when you start looking at buying a polished S&S, Baker tranny, controls, wheels and all the other components you have almost as much money in what I paid for my Ridgeback. Do I think I could build a bike that would be cooler, yes? More reliable, probably so? ...but the bottom line is with a more than full time job, wife and a 3 year old little girl I don't have the time so the Dog it was. I am happy and will never look back. If I do get the time my thinking was I now have a good frame, motor, transmission and other things from which I could do something radical. That's my story and I'm sticking to it :2thumbs:

Great question!

My reasons for getting a Dog:
1) I'm a 50 year old computer geek, never had a bike. I thought all of you were obnoxious loud bastards. (I'm still right)
2) I live in suburbia with a golden retriever.
Okay if that’s not enough
3) Older brother dying and we were spending time in ER with lots to think about
More reason?
4) I live in Milwaukee...no way I'm looking like the rest.
Okay, early AM another ER with bro and after Tangere or 2...EBay!
I just started clicking on what looked great.
Next morning I owned a bike...K9...sweet...now what?
Put on a few hundred miles, and almost pissed my pants on every turn for the first summer.
Now my second summer, put on louder pipes, sissy bar, passenger seat and pegs. Now zipping around all the HD look-a-likes in this city.
Not a suburbia bike... F-em.
Bro is hanging in there. Wife is cool. Jamies Customs BD dealer has been great keeping it running.
I love it

I have wanted a Big Dog for many years. I just couldn't part with the $$, so I bought the fury and dumped lots on $$ into it. After it was finished I thought about the fact that I could probably buy a dog with what I spent on the fury and actually have what I wanted. Two days later the woman and I went to Performance V Twin to check out what they had. The whole way there, she was nagging me about not buying anything that day. After we spent about 2 hours there, she said you should buy one. That is all the motivation I needed.

I bought my Ridgeback just to piss the local H-D dealer and my ex-wife off. I would ride to the dealership just about every Saturday during the busy time of the day and park right up in front of the main door. Walked away and watch as the crowd would gather, damn it sure pissed off the salespeople. I no longer have the bike and I lost my ass when I sold it but all of the attention it attracted was priceless......

Love doing the same thing at my local Harley Shop!! If they hadn't been suck a dick to me when I first went in there, I'd be better about it. Now I park right in the front and enjoy the pissed off sales guys.
