BB you only get 28.57 miles per Gal. on your bike I would think something is wrong with it My son and I get a little over 40 around 45 miles per gal. What have you done to it to lower the miles per gal. on it.I've never heard of anyone getting that low.

I hit 120miles once when I forgot I was on reserve and I was just pussying it, First day at Daytona I rode the Dog all day Bar to Bar. Next morning I hit reserve at 85miles! Ask Skid!!! He always says I’m trying to do a wheelie!!!
I ride it like I stole it!!!:whoop:

Ray gets about the same I think!

Looks like Knotso was bored at work!!! :D

Ok, here is the scoop:

I guess mpg is based on conditions. With my old tank (3.4 w/ .4 reserve = 3.8). Most gas I ever put in it was 3.8xx once when I ran it to 151 miles.

I usually would go 125 - 135 before refueling but one time I was able to go 151 miles on it.

On my trip yesterday leaving Palm Springs with a full tank I road over to LA then connected to I-5 and headed north. On the way to Redding, Ca where my truck was I stopped 3 times for fuel. This is what the miles and gallons were:

First stop 180 miles 4.3 gl 41.86 mpg
Second stop 171 miles 4.3 gl 39.76 mpg
Third stop 177 miles 4.7 gl 37.66 mpg
Final stop 160 miles didn't fill up cause bike was going in trailer.

I road 688 miles and only stopped the three times for fuel. On the second stop there was a bar next to the gas station so I had 2 beers. At the third I had to dress up cause it was getting dark and I was climbing in elevation and it was getting cold. Also on this third stop I hit reserve about a hundred yards from pulling into the gas station so that gives me an idea of what my tank now holds (plus reserve). Oh, I avg about 85 mph I would say most of the way.

I left Palm Springs in 85 degree weather at 11:00 am and arrived at Redding at 11:20pm.

Some of you guys had some good guestimates. :2thumbs:

I'm going to close the poll as a lot of memebers are still voting on it even though I already posted the information.

Good guess everyone. I think it was Woodbutcher that posted the right answer.

BTW, FYI do you guys do same mileage? (I think there was a thread about it but can´t find it).

I am running 31 Inter, 78 Main & 60 Air-jet and it only burns 6 liters / 100 Kms. not bad at all... same as an HD Injection!

With a full tank (16 Liters) I can do 220-250 Kms. (155 Miles)

If I am not wrong that would be 39 - 40 Miles / Gallon

or 2,55 Gallons / 100 Miles.

That mileage is on the H/Way, cruising at 2500-3000 rpm (120-130 Km/h.) When Bar-Hopping definitely it eats alot more....

What do you think???

In town my K9 starts sputtering at 112 miles. On the road I get about 152 and hit reserve.
