Mirrors?

Would like to do something other than the stock mirrors on my 08 Pitbull but have found that do to the mounting configuration, most customs will not work. Is there an adaptor that must be used or just finding the right mirror? Any suggestions?

Thanks

BDM sells adapters to make any after market mirror stem work. Did mine this winter, bought a set of Wicked Image mirrors.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be looking for the adapter kit. By the way Gas, I think those flames look great. Would go good on mine do to the paint scheme but now I have to find something diff. Don't want to copy somebody else.

I bought the addapters but still had to do a little cutting and grinding to get them nice and flushed.

I would not go the cheap mirror route. I did and they were great for about a year.

Then on a trip to laughlin running about 85 one of the bolts decided to break and I watched as the mirror came off and hit my leg right next to the tank. I'm sure it would have put a nice scratch on my tank if it had it that instead.
Also, even with red lock tight you will still have problems with them coming loose.

I bought the $300 mirrors from J&P and they are great. They actually hold their position and that's even if you adjust them. No lock tight ever needed

These dont need adapters.

Golf Club Mirrors for Harley Davidson Custom Choppers : eBay Motors (item 270561306370 end time Apr-13-10 00:00:31 PDT)

I put a set of these on my chopper. Chrome is REAL thin. I used thread to wrap around the pivot joint and then let crazy glue wick in to lock the mirror head down.

I have about 700 miles on them so far. The mirrors are a little small, but so far so good.

I paid $40 for the pair at demon cycle.
Yeah chrome on the stems is thin. I red locktighted the crap out of them and have over 3k miles on them. I have a spare set of stems I thought about re chroming. I don’t think they are triple plated (no Nickel), Chrome on the heads is fine.
