The electrical connectors for turn signals

Well folks i have been to Rolling Thunder in salt lake city and tried to order some of these connector things that plug into my 2007 K9 led board for my turn signals. i had to replace them out and instead of giving me what use to be on them they are handing out something else new improved or some shit. well these new connectors wont fit your old led boards so another $70 bucks or so, you can get the new board. I say fuck that! i found the old connectors. they are computer CPU fan 3pin interlocking connectors at .55 cents and .25 cents for the pins. yes you heard me right .80 cents. They are at frozencpu.com

Pretty nice find but are they weather proof?

Hard to see from the picture if they have the rubber 'membrane' that keeps out the elements.

That's funny, cause I deal with computer internals all the time, building them from scratch and what not and it never really crossed my mind unttil you mention that here. Now that I think about it, you're right it's the exact same connector minus the nema seal for outdoor use. All we'd have to do is to pit some heatshring or sylicone around the connector to make it weather proof when installing and we should be good to go.

I took my right side apart yesterday to install the CRUISE-MATE. When I went to disconnect the connector for the board I noticed the "membrane" was preventing the connector from latching. The female part practically fell off without any effort. So I tossed the membrane and coated the connector with dielectric grease and the connector snapped into place firmly. Do you guys see a problem with this? If so, I will need to re-work this with a new membrane. Thanks for your input.

I don't, but if you happen to get caught in a rain storm some time you might notice some white film surface, it just what happens to dielectric grease when it gets wet. Just be conscious of it.
