Big Dog Biker patches

I sure hope not and in fact anything that gives any misunderstanding of the Traditional MC should not be consider. Way too many problems can resolve around such.

For me, just a small patch that could go on the front on side or something like would be fine for me.

Wise man, just keep it as far from resembling something else as much as possible.

:iagree: being friends with most of the organized clubs here in the N.W. it can NOT be a 3 piece, way to much shit could be started, they take there 3 piece real serious & the otherside of the fence (the LAW) will notice too, its just not worth it unless we become a legit M.C., I'm for the smaller patch :zz2cents:

Alright, I understand about the 3 piece now. Was not too versed in the meaning of the patches or thinking of what it may represent to others. I still personally like the Big Dog Biker logo with the pin-up girl.

I have not seen the proposed sizes or designs yet, but bigger is not always better. I would prefer a small patch over something large, my wife says that my T-shirts are immature that have large screen-print on them. I have nothing to prove to anyone, I just do what makes me happy! There is no way to make everyone happy, go with the majority or offer both small and large.

Just another thought...how about a 3-piece patch, like a MC? With the top rocker being the Big Dog Biker logo about 12" long, the middle being the pin-up girl about 10" tall, and the bottom being where you're from 12" long?

Absolutely no chance of this. As others expressed, I do not want this patch to be in any way confused with a MC patch.

I'll drop Ed an email/PM, I think that is a killer idea. I'm thinking if Ed gets involved, it would probably be a bigger patch to really show case his talent. Something small wouldn't do him justice.

I'm thinking heavily about that. Patches are far cheaper then the coins to have produced. Going with two sizes is a definite option.

I'd buy a couple of the small ones. Don't know what I'd put them on but I could find something. I rode with a bunch of bikers that had vests this weekend and I may get one....too much of a PITA to get to my pants pockets with chaps on.

I am in, I really could use a large one or small. I am going to be honest and say I am still wearing my harley vest with a large harley eagle on the back, adds great to the "so what kind of harley is it" but hey the vest is still in great shape and just broke in after 9 yrs! Or maybe it is I am just to cheap to take it off and replace it!

I know this is something that has been discussed in the past and I've shelved it on my end for some time. 2010 is the year we get things really going for Big Dog Biker.

Now I'd like to open a discussion concerning the creation of a path and I'm going to throw up a small poll just to cover the general size you would like to see. I've debated with myself between something large or a small patch like you may pick up at a rally that is roughly 1.5" x 3", like the "I rode mine" size.

Feel free to add your ideas on designs and we'll go from here.

There are a lot of good ideas here. Just for shits & grins I thought I might throw in a twist. I have noticed a lot of really nice embroidery on motorcycle gear lately. Hard Chrome clothing is an example. I like the pinstripe and tatoo look. Here are some pics of Hard Chromes line:

Granted these are pretty elaborate, but I think if you incorporated "Big Dog Biker" into a patch with this type of embroidery it would be quite a patch!!!

Anyway, just an idea.

I think that that would be a great idea. Big Dog only has generic and it would be great
to have something differant. By the way I live in S.A. but I don't really ride with the guys
form the shop B/C I live the other side of town how about you?

I'm in for any size (though small and/or a medium would be the preferred options).

Just my .02 -- and flame me if you will guys -- but I think it would be a good option to have one that just reads BigDogBiker or BigDogBiker.com without the pinup girl.
