I want a sissy bar set up....I know I want the 18inch with the small rack on the back but what are the options on the struts that receive the bar? I like the set up Mickeetwo has on the K9 in the pic of the month thread....My 05 Ridgeback is not set up to receive the bar so i would need to purchase it all.....any tips on where to buy....I see stuff on the Ebay but not sure what I am looking at...

I just wanta ride
I also want the set up for an 06 Ridgeback. The sissy bar is attached different than K-9. the Ridgeback bar attaches at the very back of the receiver struts behind the back lights not in front of lights like the K-9. Just make sure its for 05 Ridge when you purchase. I got a quote from nelson- Wicked Bastard $510 new for 18" bar and struts. I keep looking on eBay for a deal also. BD wants $600+.

This is the 18" sissybar you would need for an '05 rigid (pitbull/ridgeback). I won this bid on ebay Sunday night for $355 + $15 shipping. Should be here soon. It's called a rear loader sissybar. The k'9s load from the top. I may have found another one as well. If so, I may be selling this one. Depends on the condition of the one I'm about to look at. I hope to get to see it in the next few days. :cheers::eek::cheers:

Devil,
Was that you bidding $350 with 8 seconds left? I got one last bid off with 3 seconds. Like the saying goes, rather be lucky than good any day.

Shane,
Have not received the sissybar yet but pretty sure there are no issues with it. Just happened up on a set of struts that I want to check out. I'll have my own sissybar made if they are what I'm looking for and post these here for what I paid before putting them back on Ebay. They are used and the description said there were some light scratches on the struts. Just need a good polishing. I'll know soon enough and let you know.

School me on Sissy Bars...
Well Shane, when I was in school we didn't hang out at the sissy bars!!!!.........

Oh, you mean our motorcycle sissybars. :whoop::D:lol:

Hell, all I know is all the rigids take it up the rear and the softails drops in from the top except for the new style on the Pitbull.

:cheers::2thumbs::cheers:

Is the 2008 Ridge the same as the 2005 as far as mounting the bar??? If so, can anyone post some clear, close up shots of how it attaches with a verbal description?? I'm pretty good at metal fab and I bet I could make one alot cheaper just to carry a luggage bag than to pay between $400 to $600 to buy one. Plus, it would make for a neat project. I just need to be sure it can be attached securely. :up:

Does the '08 have the 300 tire? Some of these other guys that have that setup will have to chime in. I'm not sure the 2 are the same. :confused:

Yeah.... 330 is correct, but I don't think tire size has as much to do with it as does the method of how it's secured to the bike. They may have changed the mounting method from
2005 to 2008............. I'm just not sure...........
In any event, some pics would be way cool....... 8')

I have an 05 ridgeback and bought the sissybar and struts from Showtime on here. I asked if anyone had a how to on installing the rear struts and noone chimed in. If one of you guys install yours yourself let me know how it goes. If I ever get my bike running(another story) I would like to install my struts. Thanks

I would just watch Ebay. I had been looking in all catagories and for some reason I switched to Ebay Motors. There was a 12" sissy bar and side plates that were not showing up under all catagories. I got everything for $160 bucks shipped for my Mastiff.
