Hey guys and gals. I have an ongoing issue with the 2 forward bolts on my primary getting loose and having fluid cover the bike. I've used red locktite, but still the bolts find a way to get loose. Does anyone use a lock washer with these bolts? Mine never had 'em, so I haven't put any on there. The bolts are the top and bottom bolts in the front of the primary. Looking for a permanent solution but not so permanent that I can't get them off when needed. I figured the red locktite would work but saw where the bike was leaking after a 100 mile ride. This has been a problem since day 1. :bang:
Thanks,
Brad
Thanks,

,, your good @ that arnt ya...that shit will stick stuff together,,,, ok have you tried to clean the threads well so the loctite will bond.. I'd chase the threads,, on both the bolts & the inner primary,, then loctite it.. I'd use break clean to dry out & taped hole.. dude are you sure the bolt is the correct lenght,, not to long & bottoming out,,,oh thats right you said you never bottom out. do ya..

After I graciously invited you to come on board with your vast knowledge of useless information, you only reply with this? Do me a favor. Get on your hotline to John Sachs, then get back up with me with some information that is relevent to this thread. Good God Almighty Jeff!!!
I was so hoping for some long, drawn out electrical theory for why bolts don't stay put. You have truly disappointed me. Well, it's time for me to get the hell outa' here. Work day is done. See you guys tomorrow. Thanks to those of you that helped out!
