Well I beat her till she broke loose...Fork Dust Covers

These freakin fork dust covers were killing me :bang:so I stuck the 1,000 degree heat gun on them, gave them several good wacks with the rubber mallet and put the rubber wrench on it. I wasn't surprised at what I found...Thanks Jake for the "How To" install the drain on these.

Mario, after you get them all cleaned up put a good amount of anti-seize on those threads and you won't have that problem anymore. I check/clean mine after each ride in the rain/snow!! The drain fix is a good option also.

you are talking about putting the small hole @ the base of the threads to allow for water drainage right?????

I open em up after every ride in the rain (which is about half my rides) put a paper towl in there to let it air dry, the loosly tighten em back down before a ride.
